Privacy policy
This is a translation. If it differs from the French version, the French version prevails, except where the law of your country gives you more protection.
Short version: the app collects nothing, everything stays on your phone. This website only uses an ad pixel if you agree (in the US, unless you opt out). Payments go through Stripe, and we keep only what we need to deliver and refund.
Who is responsible
Arthur Verne, entrepreneur individuel, Bâtiment B, 65 boulevard Côte Blatin, 63000 Clermont-Ferrand, France, France. Contact: arthurverne@gmail.com.
The app
Afterfire computes the sound on your phone. Motion sensors and location are only used to follow the car's acceleration, live, and never leave the phone. No account, no usage analytics, no ads in the app.
The afterfire.app website
Fonts are served by the website itself: no requests to Google. Our host (Vercel Inc.) processes technical connection logs (IP address, browser, page requested) to run and secure the site.
The Meta ad pixel
To learn which Facebook and Instagram ads bring visitors, the site may use the Meta pixel. In Europe, the United Kingdom and the rest of the world, it only loads after you agree in the banner: before that yes, no Meta script, no cookie, no request to Meta. Refusing takes one click, like accepting, and the "Trackers" link at the bottom of the page lets you change your mind at any time.
In the United States, where the rule is opt-out, the pixel loads when you arrive, unless your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, and you can switch it off with the "Trackers" link. Your region is inferred from your device's time zone, never from the page language.
When the pixel is active, Meta receives your IP address, a browser identifier (_fbp cookie), the pages you view and four events: starting the demo, choosing a voice, clicking Pre-order, and the pre-order itself (with its amount). Legal basis in Europe and the UK: your consent. Meta is joint controller for the collection and sole controller for its own uses, under its own policy. Transfers to the United States rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Your pre-order
Payment is processed by Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd.). We receive your email address, name, country, amount and date; never your card number. We use them to deliver (launch email, unlock by email address), to refund, and for accounting. Legal basis: performing the contract and our accounting obligations. Retention: 10 years for accounting records, then deletion. No newsletter, no sale of data, no sharing beyond the providers named here.
Your rights
You can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data, and object to its processing, by writing to arthurverne@gmail.com. You can also complain to the CNIL (cnil.fr) or, in the UK, the ICO (ico.org.uk).
US residents: we do not sell personal information. The pixel may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under some state laws (including California); the "Trackers" link or a Global Privacy Control signal opts you out.
